Documentary photography tells the story through both wide angled scenes and intimate close ups. Rates are $100 per hour, and include a gallery of curated, edited photos at medium resolution that are perfect for sharing and viewing online. Good for birthday + engagement parties, corporate events, and company picnics.

For the client who needs a little of everything! This package covers all the bases. The event coverage gives you an online gallery with edited images that you can share with your attendees AND a separate proof gallery from which to choose your portraits for retouching. This package is perfect for graduation parties, baby showers/gender reveals, modest weddings/elopements, etc.

1. How do I book a session?

Every inquiry starts with a conversation. After reviewing client needs and available dates, a non-refundable $50 retainer/deposit is require to book the session. The remainder of the payment is due after the session is complete and before image gallery is delivered.

In the event we need to reschedule a shoot (life happens, and in Houston the weather is ANYTHING but predictable), sessions can be rescheduled up to two times before cancellation.

2. Can I Bring more than one outfit? Props? What about a friend?

It's you session, bring what you want! Extra outfits, props, and people make the shoot go slower, so we may get fewer images to choose from (will not effect the number of images included, just the ones you have to choose from) OR we will need to add additional time to your shoot. We will discuss all of this before you book, and personalize your session accordingly.

3. What happens after a shoot?

For events, basic edits are applied to all useable images to create a cohesive look. A link, password, and download PIN for an online photo gallery is then sent to you, which you are free to share so folks can download the photos.

For portraits, a digital proof gallery (images cropped to 4:5 + color corrected) is delivered within a few days so you can pick the images you want me to retouch. I usually err on the side of "more is more" in a proof gallery. Retouching begins after final selections and payment is made.

4. What's the difference betwwen "editing" and "retouching"?

Basic editing includes cropping, rotation, and color correction and is applied uniformly across a set of images (e.g. for event galleries). Retouching is an in-depth process that includes teeth whitening, blemish and distraction removal, smoothing stray hair, evening and enhancing lighting/shadows, smoothing skin, removing background distraction, custom color grading, etc. (e.g individual + family portraits).

All packages include either edited or retouched (or both) images. Additional sets of images can be added to any package.

5. How long does it take to get my photos back?

Turnaround time depends on the level of editing/retouching selected AND the number of clients in the editing queue ahead of you when you make your final payment. I will communicate a realistic time frame for image delivery after the shoot concludes.

During an average workload cycle:

Edited image galleries are typically available in 3-5 business days after final payment is made.
For Portrait sessions, proof galleries are typically delivered in 2-3 business days, and edited or retouched images within 2-3 weeks of final image selection and payment.

6. When do I make my final payment?

All sessions require a $50 retainer to secure a date/time. This fee is non-refundable and transferable in case of a reschedule. The fee is credited toward your session fee and will be deducted from your final invoice.

For events, final payment is due BEFORE image gallery is delivered. For portrait sessions, final payment is due after the proof gallery is sent and images are selected for editing/retouching. After payment is received, editing/retouching begins.

7. Do you take photos of _________ ?

I can take photos of just about anything, however I specialize in documentary style event coverage and environmental + traditional portraiture. If you would like to chat about including pets in your portraits or if you have a product line that you would like to showcase or advertise, I'm here for it. I will be quite honest if your request is not yet within my skillset or if I don't have the proper equipment to do the shoot.

4. Do you offer reduced rates for non-profit organizations, booster clubs, animal shelters, etc.?
