Hi, I'm Stevie.

Photography is my second career. I spent the last 25 years in education, and with my own kid soon graduating form high school, I was ready for a shift. I had several creative side hustles throughout that time, but my love of photography took off when I started taking photos for my daughter's high school marching band.

Looking back at the way I approached teaching and artmaking (heck, pretty much my whole life), embracing ambiguity had been part of my core process. My art room was choice-based and my favorite mediums are assemblage and collage. Similar to finding words or images that guide the formation of a collage, I approach my photography from the same place: I allow the story emerge from the environment within the frame.
